Old news, I know, but I'm doing research for a speech and came across this. UWM doesn't even have the room to host their basketball games on campus, so I'd really like to know where they would build a college sized football stadium... As far as funding, those scholarships you mentioned come from the athletic department/university, not the government. Granted, it's usually federal aid the government supplied to the universities, but they don't always have access to that money. And lastly, the article was referring to Madison stealing players from UWM, not anything with playing against them. Madison will coheres high school athletes to go to Madison versus Milwaukee, because let's think about it... who would prefer Milwaukee over Madison?

No offense taken. When the US Ambassador to the Philippines and Bangladesh take the time to send cables back to the United States saying what a great job I did and generals in the Pentagon ask me to come visit them to talk about projects I’m feeling pretty good about my experience and performance.

The "Trojan Horse" method. Hmm. Maybe she needed to try running as an "Independent" as I am considering to challenge Republicans/Democrats in the 27th District. Its getting really close to the June 2nd deadline and I am still undecided but I wish her all the success in the world "get in the fight" to restore at least some moderation in the Republican Party in Wisconsin. Mr. Kestell neared being one of those career politicians so it was time for him to go (no offense intended Steve) but from what I have been hearing there quite a few Republicans calling it quits in this 2014 election and I have heard through the grapevine its due to things not getting done by the republican run state these days. There may be some disatisfaction among the party members of how Governor Walker is not an easy congemial guy to work with like Walker likes to put on (especially when he is in front of cameras).
I say "best of luck to you Jackie Jarvis". Go get 'em and win that Assembly seat to bring whats best for Sheboygan County and our great state of Wisconsin .... but dont be surprised if you get a challenge from me. Time is not on my side but there is enough time for me to think it over.

I see a 70-30 smackdown in that district's future, even more if there is a credible primary on the Democrat side.

Trust me when I say I meant no disrespect. My overall point is that this is now the second office you're seeking which seems to be out of your level of experience. If you're serious about public service, by all means run for county board, Manitowoc City Council or something else and work your way up and earn the respect, fellowship and support of the community.

That's all I'm saying. Food for thought and something to consider.
